Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Shaun Stephens! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Blink Gee! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gee throws a head kick that misses. Stephens swats away the attempt to clinch by Gee. Stephens changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Stephens will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Gee misses with a head kick.
Stephens drops down looking for a counter takedown but Gee sprawls and moves away. Gee fails in his attempt to clinch. The fight stays on the outside here - Gee looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Stephens gets tackled into the cage by Gee. Gee maintains the clinch. Gee tries a body shot but Stephens blocks it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gee tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Gee looks to throw an elbow but misses. Gee gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Gee stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stephens working hard to break the clinch. Gee throws an elbow but it misses.
Stephens jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Gee walks away with a smile on his face. Stephens gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Gee has closed the distance and engaged Stephens in a clinch.

Stephens drops down looking for an ankle pick but Gee pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shaun Stephens. That's going to take a lot out of him. The fight stays on the outside here - Gee looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Gee shoots in and bounces Stephens off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stephens manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Gee manages to get himself to full guard.
Gee keeping moving, preventing Stephens from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stephens tries to free his leg and advance position but Gee is retaining full guard. Stephens trying to control but Gee is working from the bottom. Gee is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Stephens is controlling him. Gee has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Stephens can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gee is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Stephens presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Stephens is trying to stall.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Gee just misses with a elbow thrown towards Stephens's brow. Gee with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Stephens lands a takedown into guard.
We've been hearing that Stephens has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Gee uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Gee fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Stephens, pushing him back against the cage. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Stephens tightens his grip and picks Gee up, before dumping him to the ground. Gee manages to land in guard. Gee has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Stephens off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Stephens looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Gee!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stephens tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Stephens has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Stephens is trying to get an arm triangle but Gee is defending well. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Gee is looking to regain half guard here but Stephens keeps moving and retains side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gee wants to get back to his feet. Gee taking a bit of punishment here - Stephens scoring with strikes. Gee explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Gee looks for the body kick but Stephens saw that one coming. Stephens takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Gee tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Blink Gee dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Gee pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Gee is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Stephens's half guard. Gee decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Stephens takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Gee throws a sloppy head kick and Stephens counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Stephens. Gee has his feet on Stephens's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Blink Gee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gee is looking to clinch. Gee tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Stephens paws at him with a jab and circles away. The fight moves into the clinch position. Gee throws a knee to the head but misses.

If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Stephens trying to control but Gee is working from the bottom. Gee scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Gee tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Gee is looking to clinch. Stephens went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gee misses with a kick to the body and Stephens counters with a shoot takedown. Gee fights it but they end up in guard. Gee has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Stephens off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Gee tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Stephens tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Gee defends well and Stephens ends up having to push Gee into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Gee tries to close the distance and clinch but Stephens swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Stephens shoots for a takedown but Gee saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. No luck for Stephens with that takedown attempt. Gee is looking for the big counter here. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Gee wants to clinch up but Stephens keeps it at a distance. Gee tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Stephens paws at him with a jab and circles away. Stephens attempts a counter takedown but Gee avoids it well and moves away. Gee is pushing Stephens up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Gee dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.

With the fighters up against the cage, Gee throws an elbow but misses. Gee comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Stephens has Gee pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Gee manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Gee tries to land knees in the clinch but Stephens avoids the damage to the body. Gee gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Stephens.
Stephens turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Gee tries to bench press Stephens off him but Stephens keeps the position. Stephens working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stephens is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Gee is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Gee regains half guard. Stephens wants to take a breather but Gee is having none of it. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Stephens wants to work for an arm triangle but Gee is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Gee is staying active underneath Stephens, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Blink Gee is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Gee is trying to stand back up but Stephens is controlling him
Shaun Stephens has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Gee is looking to improve his position.
And that's the end of the fight! Blink Gee comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Gee has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
