Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Love Aikawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Annibal Hector (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hector has chosen Country Boy as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 25 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Love Aikawa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Annibal Hector!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Dean Styles and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aikawa tries for a takedown but Hector sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Aikawa shoots and misses
and Hector cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Hector connects with a single shot there.
Aikawa slips a jab from Hector.
Aikawa shoots in looking for a takedown. Hector tries to sprawl out of it but Aikawa keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hector manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Love Aikawa. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Aikawa is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Hector only half commits to the counter leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Nice takedown defense from Hector. No joy for Aikawa on that attempt.
Aikawa has his takedown stuffed
and Hector counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Hector tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Aikawa wants to clinch
and Hector counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Hector feints and then cracks Aikawa's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Aikawa down.
Aikawa misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hector moves into range and connects with a jab.

Aikawa gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Aikawa tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Hector just stands there and leans against the cage.

Hector will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Aikawa up against the cage.

The referee is keeping an eye on Hector - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Annibal Hector.
A telegraphed right hand from Hector misses the target.
A nice inside leg kick there by Hector. That's going to slow Aikawa down.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Hector closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Annibal Hector dominated that round.
That's time! Aikawa's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Hector throws a head kick but Aikawa moves out of range.
Hector dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Aikawa throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Aikawa takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Annibal Hector seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Hector jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Hector has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Hector forces Aikawa back against the cage and clinches.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Hector.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Aikawa goes for a takedown in the clinch but Hector prevents it.
Hector content to slow the pace in the clinch.

The crowd are getting on Hector's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch.
A bit of stalling here from Hector.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Hector takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Aikawa has hold of one of Hector's legs. Hector is fighting the takedown attempt but Aikawa gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hector is on top in guard.

We've been hearing good reports from Aikawa's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Aikawa throws his legs up looking for a submission but Hector uses it to pass to side control.

You can see the frustration on Aikawa's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Aikawa is looking to regain half guard here but Hector keeps moving and retains side control.
A lull in the action here.
Aikawa wants to control but Hector postures up.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Hector wants to lay and pray for a moment but Aikawa keeps working.

Hector tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Hector scores with a couple of short elbows.
Aikawa keeps Hector under control for a moment.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Annibal Hector showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!


Hector's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Hector duly obliges.
Hector lunges at Aikawa with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Aikawa's hand.
Hector throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Oooooh!!! Hector has knocked Aikawa down with a huge combo! Hector steps away and waves a wobbly Aikawa back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hector connects with a solid leg kick.
Oh Aikawa is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Hector.
Hector steps in with a hook that catches Aikawa right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Hector follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Aikawa looks absolutely devastated.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Annibal Hector!
A very excited looking Annibal Hector rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
Love Aikawa was interviewed post fight and said 'Love the Challenge, Thanks for the ass Whooping'.
