Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gorg St Pier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Casimir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). St Pier kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Remember the name. Mike Casimir will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

St Pier moves into the clinch successfully.
Casimir looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Casimir misses with an elbow strike.

St Pier pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
St Pier throws a hook but Casimir avoids it easily.
St Pier moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromCasimir.
Casimir throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by St Pier.
A good leg kick by Casimir.

St Pier instigates a clinch.
St Pier with an attempt at a knee that misses.
St Pier landing knees to the head.
St Pier blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Casimir misses with a body punch.
St Pier misses with a shot to the kidneys.
We've been hearing reports that St Pier has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
St Pier throws a punch but it's blocked by Casimir.

St Pier wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
St Pier takes a swing at Casimir's ribcage but misses.

St Pier takes the fight into the clinch.
Casimir misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from St Pier.

Casimir tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
St Pier lands with a right to the head.
Casimir wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

St Pier drags the fight down to the ground.
Casimir wants to control from the top but St Pier keeps moving.

Casimir stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. St Pier swivels though and keeps the full guard.
St Pier pulls Casimir in close to his closed guard and prevents Casimir from doing any damage or advancing position.
Casimir won't allow St Pier to get back to his feet.
St Pier wants to sweep but no luck.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Casimir must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

St Pier manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Casimir throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Casimir really doesn't want to stay on the ground with St Pier. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

St Pier is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Casimir is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

A relieved looking Gorg St Pier thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
