Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lloyd Mccarthy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Achilles Megalos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Megalos has chosen Opa Opa as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lloyd Mccarthy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Achilles Megalos!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Trevor Gratis and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mccarthy tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Megalos manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Megalos looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Mccarthy shoots in and bounces Megalos off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Mccarthy wanted to stand there but Megalos had control of the position.
Mccarthy really is a fat lump.
Megalos is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Mccarthy got a little sloppy there for a moment and Megalos has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mccarthy has managed to get both his arms back between Megalos's legs - danger averted.
Mccarthy wants to get up but he can't break Megalos's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Mccarthy has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Megalos has his foot on Mccarthy's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mccarthy works his way back into a safe position though.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mccarthy trying to control the position from guard on top but Megalos is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Megalos has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mccarthy can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Megalos is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Megalos is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Megalos looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Mccarthy is defending well. Megalos quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Mccarthy has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Megalos celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Achilles Megalos!
In his post fight interview, Achilles Megalos started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
