Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Clint Hester (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Finn Kowalski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kowalski has chosen Volbeat - Warriorscall as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Finn Kowalski is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 1, fighting out of New York, Clint Hester! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Finn Kowalski! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, John Kavanagh and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hester takes a swing at Kowalski's ribcage but misses. Hester misses with a hook. Kowalski thinks about the counter body kick. Kowalski blocks the body kick.
Hester is looking to clinch but Kowalski is avoiding it.
Hester walks into a left hand. Hester changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Hester misses with a body kick. Clint Hester seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hester steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Kowalski. That one must have hurt. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Hester checks a leg kick. Hester tries a low kick but Kowalski avoids it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hester explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Hester looks for the body kick but Kowalski saw that one coming. A kick lands to the mid section there for Hester. Kowalski blocks a jab. Clint Hester is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Hester looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. A chopping leg kick lands by Hester. Hester throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Kowalski! But no joy. Hester misses with a low kick. Hester throws a hook to the side of Kowalski's head but Kowalski sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kowalski moves into range and connects with a jab. Hester cracks the inside of Kowalski's front leg. Hester looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Hester throws the kick towards the body but Kowalski avoids it. It seemed like Kowalski was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Kowalski with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Kowalski sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hester looks to throw a body kick and Kowalski counters with a slapping leg kick. Hester misses with a kick to the body.
Hester moves out of range of the leg kick from Kowalski. Kowalski has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight. Hester uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kowalski. Hester tried to counter with a leg kick but Kowalski avoided it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hester looks to throw the jab but Kowalski is out of range. Hester tries to land a front kick but Kowalski steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Kowalski moves out of range of the body kick from Hester.

Kowalski looks like he wants to counter punch here. Hester throws out a leg kick but Kowalski moves out of range and Hester only half commits. Kowalski looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Hester moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Hester throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. A little jabbing left from Kowalski on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Hester leaves Kowalski with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hester looks to land a body kick but Kowalski moved away. Hester with a body punch. A glancing blow. Hester buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Hester lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Hester crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Kowalski - the referee stops the clock and Hester gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Kowalski. Hester manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Both fighters circling a little - Hester finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Good work by Kowalski as he checks the leg kick. Hester lands with a straight right. Kowalski didn't see that one coming. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Clint Hester dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Hester throws an overhand right that lands on Kowalski's shoulder, as Kowalski tries to avoid the shot. Kowalski replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Hester blocks it well. Hester tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kowalski swats him away and circles back towards the center. Hester misses with a kick to the body.
Hester moves in looking to clinch but Kowalski pushes him off. It seemed like Kowalski was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Hester tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kowalski was well out of range. Poor timing from Hester. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Kowalski! But no joy. Hester lands with a kick to the ribs.

Kowalski looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Hester throws a lazy head kick and Hester takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hester scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Hester misses with a hook. Kowalski ducked under it nicely. Kowalski sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Hester throws a low kick but it's checked well by Kowalski. It seemed like Kowalski was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Hester fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Hester is looking to slow Kowalski down with leg kicks. Kowalski moves out of range of the body kick from Hester.
Kowalski follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. Hester throws a leg kick which misses Kowalski's front leg but catches the back leg as Kowalski tries to avoid it. Kowalski keeps the fight on the outside. Kowalski throws out a counter right but Hester avoids it with no problem.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hester closes the distance and clinches. Hester scores with a nice hook to the head. Kowalski tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Hester avoids it. Hester scores with a knee to the head.
Hester swings away with an uppercut that misses.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kowalski with a knee to the head.
Hester drops Kowalski with a big knee straight up the middle! Kowalski is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
Kowalski is rocked!
It looks like Finn Kowalski has been cut. Kowalski is breathing heavily. A kick lands to the mid section there for Hester. Kowalski is still on wobbly legs! Can Hester finish him? Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Hester engages and cracks Kowalski with a massive lead left hook - Kowalski tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Hester is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Clint Hester! Finn Kowalski spoke after the fight, saying 'Damn it...today he was the better fighter...'.
