The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie swats away the attempt to clinch by Markov.
Markov looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Gracie misses with a straight right.
Markov misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Markov slips a straight right by Gracie.

Gracie scores with a takedown into Markov's guard.
Gracie content to stall in guard here.
Gracie trying to control the position from guard on top but Markov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Gracie is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Gracie passes Markov's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Gracie wants to lay and pray for a moment but Markov keeps working.
Gracie is taking a breather. Markov says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Gracie has control of Markov's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Markov regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Gracie is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Markov has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
