Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Djin Kvasir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robbie Ray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Djin Kvasir could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Robbie Ray's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Djin Kvasir! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Robbie Ray! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, William Gold and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck with that takedown attempt from Kvasir. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kvasir. Ray takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Kvasir fails with the takedown and Ray connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Djin Kvasir. That's going to take a lot out of him. Horrible takedown attempt by Kvasir or perhaps it was just good defense by Ray, which made it look bad. Kvasir is breathing heavily. Ray with a hook. Ray clinches with his opponent.
Ray gets a trip takedown into half guard. Ray is looking to advance position but Kvasir won't allow it. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kvasir looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Ray thows a huge punch but Kvasir dodges it nicely.
It looks like Ray is going to stand back up.
Ray stands up out of the half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ray scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kvasir is looking for a sweep. Ray is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kvasir is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Kvasir tries to improve position but can't. Ray sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Kvasir is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Ray decides to stand up, so the ref orders Kvasir to his feet. Ray closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Kvasir to the mat! Kvasir manages to get full guard. Ray throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Ray trying to control the position from guard on top but Kvasir is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kvasir working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Ray. Ray not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Ray gets to his feet - Kvasir follows without any prompting.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kvasir checks a leg kick. Kvasir fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Ray flicks out a counter leg kick but Kvasir steps away. Ray fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Kvasir shoots in but Ray avoids the takedown attempt easily. A momentary lapse in concentration from Kvasir enables Ray to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kvasir manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kvasir looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Ray pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kvasir is keeping the position for now. Ray throwing strikes but missing. Kvasir avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Ray gets to his feet - Kvasir follows without any prompting.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ray shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Ray was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Ray decides to stand back up. Ray steps back and let's Kvasir get back to his feet. Ray moves into range and clinches up with Kvasir. Ray breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Ray fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kvasir to the ground. Ray is now in Kvasir's guard. Ray passes easily into side control. Nice work. Ray decides to take the fight back to the feet. Ray moves into the clinch successfully.
Kvasir is looking for a takedown. Ray tries to break free but Kvasir pushes him back against the cage. Kvasir tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Ray lands a left hand that snaps the head of Kvasir backwards. Ray gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kvasir preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Ray decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Kvasir, up you get! Ray darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Kvasir looking for submissions off his back. Kvasir looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Ray stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Kvasir to get to his feet. Ray takes the fight into the clinch. Kvasir is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Ray is defending well. Kvasir prevents Ray from breaking the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Robbie Ray dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Ray gets in close and instigates a clinch. Ray is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Ray pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Ray scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Ray has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Kvasir looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Kvasir doesn't succeed with the takedown and Ray counters with a straight right hand. Djin Kvasir seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Ray, as that shot connected.
Ray gets caught flat footed, as Kvasir shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Kvasir wants to pass the guard but Ray is keeping the position. Ray seems keen to control Kvasir's posture. Kvasir avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kvasir postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Ray is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kvasir, into his guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ray throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Kvasir is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ray defends well. Ray sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kvasir's guard. Ray not doing much here.
Ray stands up and beckons Kvasir to join him on the feet. Ray gets the takedown into side control. Ray in side control, throwing shots but Kvasir defends. An elbow from Ray crashes against the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kvasir tries to improve position but can't. Ray has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Ray bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Kvasir's head backwards. Ray shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Ray was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ray decides to stand up, so the ref orders Kvasir to his feet. Kvasir has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Ray rushes Kvasir and presses him up against the cage. Kvasir drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Ray breaks from the clinch.
Ray fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kvasir sprawls well initially but Ray persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Kvasir looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kvasir looking for submissions off his back. Kvasir actively working from the bottom here. Ray decides to stand and escape the position. Ray shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kvasir's guard. Ray throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Kvasir seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. Ray trying to control the position from guard on top but Kvasir is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ray loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Ray has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Kvasir to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Ray is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Kvasir pulls down on the head and he's put Ray to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Djin Kvasir! After winning the bout, Djin Kvasir thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
