Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ed Mytsyno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodney Maurice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mytsyno comes to the cage accompanied by Rev Theory - Voices. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ed Mytsyno! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rodney Maurice! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mytsyno is looking to clinch. Mytsyno rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Maurice moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Maurice swats away the attempt to clinch by Mytsyno. Maurice avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Mytsyno tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Mytsyno misses with an uppercut. Maurice saw that one coming. A combination from Mytsyno does no damage. Mytsyno fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Maurice swats away the attempt to clinch by Mytsyno. Mytsyno wants to clinch up but Maurice keeps it at a distance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mytsyno tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Maurice paws at him with a jab and circles away. Mytsyno tries to clinch up but Maurice circles away and keeps his distance. Mytsyno drops Maurice with a left right combo! Mytsyno follows him down to the ground into side control.
It looks like Rodney Maurice has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Maurice is trying to buck Mytsyno off. Mytsyno connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Maurice some visible discomfort.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mytsyno working the strikes but Maurice uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Maurice throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Maurice is trying to stand.
Maurice blocking the ground and pound attempt from Mytsyno. Mytsyno prevents Maurice from standing back up.
Maurice looks gassed! Maurice taking some punishment here, with Mytsyno in his half guard. Mytsyno sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Maurice defending well though. Mytsyno landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Mytsyno is looking to advance position but Maurice won't allow it. Mytsyno stops Maurice from getting back to his feet.
Mytsyno passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Maurice! Mytsyno fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Mytsyno scoring with strikes but Maurice is staying in there. Mytsyno working away from the top, dropping strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mytsyno has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Maurice's face.
Maurice is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mytsyno lands a big shot to the head and Maurice winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
