The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cash stuffs the takedown.

Cash scores with a takedown into Johnson's guard.

Johnson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cash doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cash manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Cash decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Johnson, up you get!

Cash trying to control the position from guard on top but Johnson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Cash thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Cash wants to pass the guard but Johnson is keeping the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and Cash counters with a nice double leg into side control. Johnson won't be happy with that.

Johnson tries to improve position but can't.
Cash cracks Johnson with a big right hand but Johnson just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Johnson is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Cash has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Cash wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Johnson, who protects the arm well.
Johnson manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Cash is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Johnson sees it coming and defends easily.

Cash is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Cash uses his free foot to push down on Johnson's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Johnson.
Johnson regains half guard.
Cash passes the guard and advances to mount!

Cash wants to finish this one by submission but Johnson is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Cash.
Cash is looking to work his way around to Johnson's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.
Cash throws some wild stikes that Johnson manages to avoid easily.

Cash is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Johnson has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Johnson is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Cash lands a heavy elbow.
Cash is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Johnson is in all sorts of trouble here.
Johnson srikes from the bottom but he's lost position and has given up his back.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Johnson manages to reverse the position and now he's in Cash's guard. Nice work there by Johnson.
Johnson slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Cash feints and as Johnson raises his hands in defense, Cash changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Johnson had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Cash is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Johnson Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Cash's back instead.
Cash tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Johnson thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Cash is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Cash is looking to improve his position but Johnson isn't that keen on the idea.
Cash is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Johnson is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Cash can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Johnson is cranking Cash's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Cash! He's tightened the choke and Cash is tapping out!
