The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Alec Ball.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gamrot with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Lightening to score with a decent uppercut.

Lightening gets caught napping as Gamrot dives in and scores a takedown. Lightening manages to retain guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lightening can do anything to dispel that myth.
Gamrot wants to control from the top but Lightening keeps moving.
Lightening wants to sweep but no luck.
Lightening trying to keep a closed guard but Gamrot is proving a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gamrot stands up from Lightening's guard - Gamrot perhaps looking for a knockout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lightening lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Lightening feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Gamrot sprawling to the canvas! Gamrot rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Lightening finish him?!

That's one minute gone in the round.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Gamrot is defended easily by Lightening.
Gamrot looks to clinch
and Lightening counters with a big right hand! Oh Gamrot is in trouble here! Lightening follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!

Mamed Gamrot spoke after the fight, saying 'Im gonna go back to the drawing board see what went wrong and try and improve and get that W out here next time maybe a Knockout'.
