Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stevie Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tristan Grosman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Stevie Stevens! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tristan Grosman! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Yves DeLean and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stevens changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Grosman tries to avoid it but Stevens manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Grosman to the ground. Grosman escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Grosman is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Stevens feints and as Grosman raises his hands in defense, Stevens changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Stevens passes into half guard. Stevens is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Grosman defends it well. Stevens is looking to take a break and control but Grosman is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Grosman is trying to stand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Grosman tries to kick Stevens off in order to stand up. Stevens Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Grosman stops Stevens from passing to mount. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Grosman can do anything to dispel that myth. Grosman tries to control but Stevens manages to take his back. Grosman is covering up but some of the strikes from Stevens are getting through and doing damage.
Stevens is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish. Stevens is looking for a rear naked choke here but Grosman reverses the position brilliantly into Stevens's guard!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Stevens is trying to control the position from the bottom.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Stevens is on top in guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Grosman has a closed guard, preventing Stevens from standing up. Stevens might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Stevens is breathing heavily. Grosman working a defensive guard here.
Grosman pushes Stevens off and scrambles back to his feet.
Grosman tries to clinch up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Stevens tries to clinch up and Grosman counters with a nice double leg into side control. Stevens won't be happy with that. Stevens striking from the bottom but nothing landed.
Stevens sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Grosman wants to get back to his feet.
Stevens moves into full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Stevie Stevens will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Stevens looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Grosman is trying to control but Stevens passes into side control!
Stevens working the ground and pound but Grosman is defending the strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stevens stands up. Stevens circles away from the clinch attempt.
Grosman is breathing heavily. Stevens doesn't succeed with the takedown and Grosman counters with a two punch combo.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stevens throws a looping overhand right but Grosman ducks down to avoid it. Stevens tries for a takedown but Grosman circles away easily and Grosman holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Stevens wants a takedown but no success here.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Stevie Stevens. That's going to take a lot out of him. Grosman wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Stevens manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Grosman trying to control but Stevens is working from the bottom. Stevens trying to control the position.
Grosman has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Stevens is proving hard to escape from.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Grosman wants to control from the top but Stevens keeps moving. Stevens is trying to control the position but Grosman postures up. Grosman decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Stevens, up you get! Stevens scores with a spinning back kick! Grosman gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Stevens counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Grosman's guard now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stevens stops Grosman from standing up. Grosman wants to stand and escape. He's got his foot on Stevens's hips, looking to push off. But Stevens grabs a hold of the leg and drops back for an ankle lock! It's hard to tell if he's got it. Both fighters look composed - OH, not anymore they don't! Grosman screams like a kid who's trapped his fingers in the car door and taps out! Yikes, that must have hurt - hopefully it's not snapped anything!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Heel Hook). Stevie Stevens!
