Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Steve Willis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Roy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steve Willis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Roy! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Willis wants to clinch. Roy looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Willis is fending him off so far but Roy persists. Nope, Willis circles away and we're back to standing. Willis rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Roy moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Willis tries to close the distance and clinch up but Roy swats him away and circles back towards the center. Willis wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Willis lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
It looks like Chris Roy has been cut. Roy walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Roy is rocked! Roy keeps the fight on the outside. Willis throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. A shot to de liver by Willis. Beautiful body shot. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A jab lands there for Willis. Steve Willis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Roy keeps the fight on the outside. Willis jabs at Roy's body. Willis looks to throw the jab but Roy is out of range. Willis takes a swing at Roy's ribcage but misses. Willis wants to clinch up but Roy keeps it at a distance.

Willis comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Roy looks gassed! Roy on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Roy has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Roy is still on wobbly legs! Can Willis finish him? Willis clinches with his opponent.
Roy seems to have recovered his senses. Willis breaks from the clinch.
Willis throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Willis scores with a jab. Roy acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Steve Willis is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Roy circles away from the clinch attempt.

Willis lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Roy backs up against the cage.
That has opened up Chris Roy's cut even more. Roy tries to keep at a distance but Willis has taken the fight into the clinch. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Willis works on Roy's body with a couple of short punches. Willis lands a left hand that snaps the head of Roy backwards. A body shot lands from Willis.
Willis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Roy avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Willis takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Willis scores with a hook to the body. Roy takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Willis bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Roy's head. Willis lands a lovely overhand right. Willis misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Willis fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Willis is looking to clinch but Roy is avoiding it.
Willis throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Willis misses with a double jab.
Willis will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Willis wants to clinch up but Roy keeps it at a distance. Roy takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Willis is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Good work by Roy as he checks the leg kick. The fight stays on the outside here - Willis looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Willis tries to clinch but Roy is having none of it. Willis moves into range and connects with a jab. Danga de danga de dang - Willis scores with a four punch combination! Willis throws a right and a left that both miss. Willis pushes Roy up against the cage in a clinch. A left hand lands to the body for Willis.

Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Willis. Willis is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Willis throws a series of punches but Roy moves out of range. Willis lands a jab-cross combination. Roy tries to keep at a distance but Willis has taken the fight into the clinch. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! A short right from Willis. Willis breaks from the clinch.
Willis swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Roy. Willis displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Steve Willis dominated that round. The cut man is working on Chris Roy's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Willis tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Roy paws at him with a jab and circles away. Roy moves into range and clinches up with Willis. Willis stops a takedown attempt from Roy.

Willis lands a nice shot to the body. Roy prevents Willis from breaking the clinch. Roy looking for a takedown. Steve Willis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Roy. Willis breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Roy takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Willis misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Roy.

Willis tries to clinch up but Roy circles away and keeps his distance. Willis jabs Roy right on the nose. Roy blinks but takes it well. Willis takes a swing at Roy's ribcage but misses. Willis connects with a good right hand that stumbles Roy. Roy circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Willis slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Willis lands with a nice body punch. Willis connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Willis takes the fight into the clinch. Willis working some nice short punches in the clinch.

A short left from Willis. Roy's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Willis digs a right hand into Roy's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Roy's gas tank. Willis presses Roy against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. A short left from Willis. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Nice body punch from Willis. A short right hand to the side of the head by Willis. Willis manages to break the clinch.

Steve Willis dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Chris Roy's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Roy circles away from the clinch attempt so Roy counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Willis wants to stand but Roy is controlling the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Willis trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Roy advances position into side control! Roy cracks Willis with an elbow. That is naaassty. Willis tries to escape but Roy is in control. Roy remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Willis tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
That's one minute gone in the round. Roy landing with strikes. Willis holding both Roy 's hands and preventing any damage. Willis is trying to defend against the choke here but Roy has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Roy Tightens the hold and Willis taps out furiously! Roy displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
