Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Illya Tyunina and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ambler keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Ambler is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Menchov tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Ambler scores with a takedown into Menchov's guard.

Ambler lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Menchov tries to close the distance and clinch but Ambler swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Menchov dodges the punch combination from Ambler.

and Ambler moves into the clinch.

Ambler manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Menchov tries to stall but Ambler uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Ambler can't break the clinch.
Ambler breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Ambler stalks Menchov and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Menchov's face. Menchov staggers backwards, shaken.
Ambler looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Menchov!
Ambler tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Ambler really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Menchov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Ambler looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Menchov slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Menchov regains full guard. Nicely done.
Ambler wants to pass the guard but Menchov is keeping the position.

Menchov had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Ambler is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Menchov Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Ambler's back instead.
Ambler looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Menchov is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Ambler defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Ambler grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Ambler drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Menchov tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ambler wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Menchov stops Ambler from passing to mount.
Menchov is looking to reverse the position.

Ambler is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Menchov is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Ambler working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Menchov manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Menchov makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Menchov.
Ambler wants to control from the top but Menchov keeps moving.
Menchov might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Ambler is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Ambler is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Menchov defends it well.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Ambler has an Americana. Menchov didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Ambler is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Ambler hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
