The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Frankham instigates a clinch.
Frankham prevents a takedown attempt there.
Rodri wants to stall.
Rodri fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Still in the clinch, Frankham scores with a nice short uppercut.

It looks like Jose Rodri has been cut.
Rodri wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Frankham has him pressed against the cage.
Rodri looking for a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jose Rodri. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Frankham taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Frankham gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rodri tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Frankham explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

Frankham is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Rodri is defending well for now.

Frankham breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Nice sprawl there from Frankham as Rodri shoots in.
Rodri shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Frankham scores with a leg kick.
Frankham cracks Rodri's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Rodri slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Frankham can do further damage! This one is done, son!
