Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fingers McTwist (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Wilcox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wilcox has chosen Low Man's Lyric by Metallica as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Fingers McTwist has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Fingers McTwist seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 1, fighting out of New York, Fingers McTwist! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mark Wilcox! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Alyssa Summers and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McTwist stuffs the takedown attempt from Wilcox. Wilcox gets slowly back to his feet. McTwist moves into the clinch successfully.
McTwist pulls Wilcox into guard.
McTwist is pulling down on Wilcox's head. It's preventing any offense from Wilcox, at least for the moment. Wilcox sitting in guard here, content to control. Wilcox prevents McTwist from getting back to his feet. McTwist lands some strikes from the bottom. Wilcox postures up.
McTwist is controlling Wilcox's posture. Wilcox throwing strikes but missing. Wilcox drops back looking for a leg! McTwist is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and McTwist manages to kick Wilcox off! Wilcox jumps back into McTwist's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wilcox tries to free his leg and advance position but McTwist is retaining full guard. McTwist is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. McTwist is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Wilcox is controlling him. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. McTwist gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. McTwist utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McTwist is looking to stand up but Wilcox isn't so interested in that idea. Wilcox wants to control from the top but McTwist keeps moving. Wilcox postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. McTwist can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Wilcox controls the pace. Wilcox's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Wilcox is pushing down on McTwist's leg trying to pass to half guard. McTwist is fighting to maintain full guard but Wilcox has managed to sneak the leg through. McTwist tries to roll over but Wilcox keeps him under control. Wilcox stops McTwist from getting back to his feet.
McTwist on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if McTwist tries to get out of the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McTwist blocking the ground and pound attempt from Wilcox. McTwist pushes Wilcox off looking to stand but Wilcox dives back in and keeps control.
Wilcox scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Wilcox wants to work for an arm triangle but McTwist is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
McTwist tries to roll over but Wilcox keeps him under control. McTwist is breathing heavily. Wilcox tries to stand and escape but McTwist is controlling the position. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Wilcox in particular looking to stall. McTwist is not content to let Wilcox control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Wilcox is thwarting McTwist's attempts to control the position. Wilcox perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. McTwist knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wilcox on the ground. Wilcox seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but McTwist does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Wilcox throws the kick towards the body but McTwist avoids it. McTwist tries to close the distance and clinch but Wilcox swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. McTwist tries for a takedown but Wilcox circles away easily and Wilcox counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for McTwist! Wilcox content just to control the position here. Wilcox is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mark Wilcox dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
McTwist keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Wilcox closes the distance but McTwist moves to the side and McTwist counters with a shoot takedown. Wilcox fights it but they end up in guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wilcox avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Wilcox looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but McTwist puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. McTwist working the head and body with strikes. Wilcox looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Wilcox has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. McTwist is working away from the top position though. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. McTwist not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wilcox tries to get to full guard but McTwist has control of the leg. McTwist working Wilcox over with strikes. Wilcox is pressing down on McTwist's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Wilcox wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Wilcox is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Wilcox had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. McTwist is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Wilcox Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take McTwist's back instead. McTwist looking very determined here, making life difficult for Wilcox.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McTwist trying to control the hands but Wilcox breaks the grip. McTwist tries to escape the position.

Wilcox biding his time, controlling McTwist. McTwist has hold of Wilcox's arm. He needs to escape this position sooner or later but for now he's happy enough to control the position and prevent the submission attempts.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wilcox looking to break McTwist's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. McTwist remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Wilcox will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Wilcox lands an elbow to the side of the head. McTwist showing good submission defense here.
You can see the frustration on McTwist's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Wilcox looking for the choke from the back. McTwist is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wilcox misses with a punch to the head. Mark Wilcox has got the better of the ground game so far. McTwist tries to escape but Wilcox has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Wilcox has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for McTwist. McTwist wants to control his opponent's hands but Wilcox gets his hands free. McTwist is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Wilcox really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for McTwist. McTwist can't escape the position.
McTwist is trying to defend against the choke here but Wilcox has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Wilcox Tightens the hold and McTwist taps out furiously! Wilcox displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
