The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valencia drives through with a takedown into Kennedy's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Kennedy will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Kennedy throws an overhand right that lands on Valencia's shoulder, as Valencia tries to avoid the shot.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Kennedy throws a leg kick but Valencia sees it coming and moves out of range.

and Kennedy counters with a left and a right that stings Valencia.
Kennedy really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Valencia fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kennedy sprawls well initially but Valencia persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Valencia passes the guard and advances to mount!
Kennedy tries to hold on but Valencia postures up.
