Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kiichi Kuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shita Urayama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kiichi Kuki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shita Urayama!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kuki throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Urayama's head.
Urayama tries to clinch up but Kuki circles away and keeps his distance.
Urayama moves out of range of the body kick.
Urayama is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

Kuki clinches.
Kuki lands with a short head shot on the inside.

Kuki breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Urayama tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kuki swivels and escapes.
Urayama keeps Kuki at a distance using the push kick.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Urayama fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kuki avoids it really well and circles away.

Urayama should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
A bit of stalling here from Kuki.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Urayama can't break the clinch.
Kuki misses with a hook to the ribs.
Urayama takes an elbow to the temple.

Kuki breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Urayama wants to land a leg kick but Kuki is out of range.
Kuki tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Urayama throws a head kick but Kuki moves out of range.

Kuki has managed to clinch.

Kuki escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kiichi Kuki is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Sloppy strikes from Kuki. Those never looked like landing.
Kuki plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Kuki throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Kuki misses with the combination.
Urayama doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Kuki misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Urayama counters with a body kick.
Kuki is breathing heavily.

Kuki gets a clinch.

Urayama pulls guard successfully.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Urayama bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kuki's guard.

Urayama wants to control from the top but Kuki keeps moving.
Kuki has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Urayama gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Urayama is looking to clinch.
Kuki lands a slapping body shot.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kuki displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Urayama.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kiichi Kuki dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Urayama clinches up against the cage.
Urayama drops down looking for an ankle pick but Kuki pulls his leg out and moves away.

Kuki gets caught napping as Urayama dives in and scores a takedown. Kuki manages to retain guard.
Urayama won't allow Kuki to get back to his feet.
Kuki looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Urayama pushes down on Kuki's leg and manages to get into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Urayama is trying to control. Kuki wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Urayama not doing much here.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Kuki is defending against the submission attempts here by Urayama.
Ground and pound from Urayama.
Kuki wants to get back to full guard but Urayama has mounted him!
Urayama looking to control but Kuki is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Kuki is looking to get to half guard.
Kuki wants to hold on but Urayama pushes him away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Urayama working the ground and pound effectively.
Kuki knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Urayama on the ground.
Kuki takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Urayama looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Kuki is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Urayama wants to control the pace but Kuki is squirming around nicely.
Shita Urayama has got the better of the ground game so far.

Kuki is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Kuki wants to hold on but Urayama pushes him away.

Kuki throws a strike off his back but Urayama has locked in an arm triangle as a counter!! Kuki gives up his back to escape but now Urayama has transitioned to a rear naked choke! That looks tight - Kuki has tapped out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Shita Urayama!
Kiichi Kuki was interviewed post fight and said 'No way! I've been beaten by a "no-name fighter" uuugh.'.
