PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wesley Denson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcelo Strazas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Denson comes into the arena with The good the bad and the ugly blaring out of the sound system. Strazas comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Blue eyes kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Strazas has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Marcelo Strazas told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Marcelo Strazas!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, James Glass and Richard Clark.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Denson misses with a few strikes there.
Strazas swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Denson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Denson throws a head kick that misses.
Strazas thinks about the counter body kick.
Denson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Strazas throws out the jab.
Denson checks the leg kick.
Denson misses with a body kick.
Strazas looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
Strazas gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Denson counters with a two punch combo.
Strazas looks winded!
Denson lands a nice looking kick to the body. Strazas takes a step back to recover.

Denson drops Strazas with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Strazas looks back up at him and smiles so Denson waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Strazas is rocked!

It looks like Marcelo Strazas has been cut.
Denson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Denson is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Strazas hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!

Wesley Denson opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
