The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Columbo Gatti and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hardy slaps away a takedown attempt from Orwell, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Hardy scores with a sloppy right hand. Orwell should have avoided that one.
Orwell fails with a takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hardy defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Orwell.
Marcus Hardy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Owen Orwell.
Hardy works over Orwell's head and body with a nice combination.
Hardy throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Orwell shoots in for a double leg but Hardy sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Hardy swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Orwell steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Hardy.

Orwell dives in and grabs Hardy's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hardy pushes down on Orwell's head and hops out.
Hardy keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Hardy looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Hardy misses with a wild body shot.
Orwell shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Hardy manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Hardy looking to hit a scissor sweep but Orwell is one step ahead there.

Hardy controls Orwell momentarily but Orwell frees himself.
Hardy looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Orwell working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Hardy's head.
Orwell trying to control but Hardy is working from the bottom.
Orwell controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Hardy on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hardy tries to get out of the position.

Hardy is trying to keep Orwell in close.
Orwell loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Orwell lands a couple of elbows.
Orwell looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Orwell trying to control the position from guard on top but Hardy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hardy wants to sweep here but Orwell controlling him for the moment.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Orwell is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Orwell has gone for a leg lock! Hardy slips out almost immediately though and dives into Orwell's guard.
Orwell has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Hardy doesn't defend quickly enough and Orwell has managed to lock this one up! Can Hardy escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Orwell on a fantastic submission victory.

After winning the bout, Owen Orwell thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
