Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Willie Sampson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddy Biglz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Willie Sampson has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Willie Sampson seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Willie Sampson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eddy Biglz! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Biglz lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
An inside leg kick from Biglz misses. Sampson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Biglz throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sampson. Sampson feinted with a counter takedown. Sampson avoids a punch combination nicely.
Biglz throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Sampson counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Sampson. Biglz wants to break free but Sampson has control.
Sampson is looking to take this one to the mat. Biglz's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Biglz throws a combination. Sampson tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Biglz closes the distance and lands a one-two. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Sampson checks a leg kick. Sampson drops down looking for a counter takedown but Biglz sprawls and moves away. Biglz misses with a jab, cross combination.

That's one minute gone in the round. Biglz looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Biglz throws a series of punches but Sampson moves out of range. Biglz looks winded! Biglz keeps the fight on the outside. Biglz unleashes a big counter combination but Sampson bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Biglz throws a right hand that Sampson ducks under and follows up with a left that Sampson also avoids with ease. Sampson is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Biglz. Biglz misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Biglz tries to bum rush Sampson with a series of wild strikes but Sampson uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Biglz fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sampson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sampson postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Sampson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Biglz works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sampson won't allow Biglz to get back to his feet. Sampson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Biglz not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Biglz avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Sampson controlling from the top position. Sampson with a flurry of punches that miss. Sampson wanted to stand there but Biglz had control of the position. Biglz wants to stand up but Sampson is controlling him. Biglz is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Sampson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Biglz looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Sampson landing strikes. Sampson stands up and beckons Biglz to his feet. Biglz throws a left and a right that both miss
and Sampson counters with a shoot takedown. Biglz fights it but they end up in guard.

Biglz wants to stand and escape but Sampson is having none of it. Sampson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Sampson distracts Biglz with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Biglz is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Sampson with a nice head shot there. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sampson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Biglz works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Biglz wants to stand up but Sampson is controlling him. Sampson postures up in Biglz's guard and throws a big left but Biglz blocks it. Sampson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Sampson content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Biglz is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Sampson forces Biglz back against the cage and clinches. Biglz is trying to push Sampson away but Sampson has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. A frustrated look appears on Biglz's face as he tries to break the clinch. Biglz looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Biglz tries to circle away but Sampson has him pinned against the cage. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Sampson scores with a knee to the head.

Sampson seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Sampson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Biglz with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Sampson half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Sampson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Biglz as he jumps to the side. Biglz misses with a body kick. Biglz throws a combination that misses and Sampson moves into the clinch. Biglz is trying to break the clinch but Sampson is controlling him.

Sampson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Biglz will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

In favor of your winner, by majority decision... Eddy Biglz! Eddy Biglz opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
