Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nyffe Pehmytkudos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Stall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pehmytkudos comes into the arena with Culture Club - Do You Really Want To Hurt Me blaring out of the sound system. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Tiny Johnson and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stall pivots, looking for a leg kick but Pehmytkudos is out of range and Stall settles back down.
Pehmytkudos drops down looking for a counter takedown but Stall sprawls and moves away.
Nice defenses there by Pehmytkudos.
Pehmytkudos throwing a counter right hand but Stall manages to avoid it.
Pehmytkudos closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Stall has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Pehmytkudos is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Stall clinches up against the cage.
Pehmytkudos tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Stall smiles and moves away.
Stall connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Pehmytkudos momentarily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stall lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Pehmytkudos slips a jab and a cross from Stall.
A jab from Stall does it's job there.
Pehmytkudos takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Stall throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
so Pehmytkudos counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Stall is controlling Pehmytkudos's posture.
Pehmytkudos is looking to stand up but Stall won't let him.
Stall has Pehmytkudos pulled in close to control his posture.
Pehmytkudos wants to pass the guard but Stall is keeping the position.
Pehmytkudos postures up.
Stall looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Stall lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Stall.
Pehmytkudos slips a jab from Stall.
Stall misses with a shot to the body
and Pehmytkudos connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Pehmytkudos takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Pehmytkudos swats away the attempt to clinch by Stall.
A counter left hand to the body from Pehmytkudos misses its target.
Stall throws a lazy right hand but Pehmytkudos sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Pehmytkudos walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Stall throws the left hand but Pehmytkudos avoids the punch easily.
Stall misses with a hook to the body
and Pehmytkudos counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Stall lands the left hand.
Stall throws a hook to the side of Pehmytkudos's head but Pehmytkudos sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
An attempted straight right counter from Pehmytkudos misses the target.
Stall tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pehmytkudos swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A jab from Stall misses.
Pehmytkudos throwing a counter right hand but Stall manages to avoid it.
Pehmytkudos ducks under a wild hook from Stall.
It looked like Pehmytkudos wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Stall misses with a two punch combination.
Pehmytkudos tries to keep at a distance but Stall has taken the fight into the clinch.
A head punch on the inside from Stall fails to land.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Pehmytkudos has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Stall after a bit of a struggle.
Pehmytkudos is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Stall to keep the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nyffe Pehmytkudos. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Pehmytkudos blocks an elbow strike.
Stall lands a shoulder strike.
Pehmytkudos tries to score a body lock takedown but Stall shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Stall lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Pehmytkudos is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Stall creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Stall working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Stall scores with a nice hook to the head.
Pehmytkudos is looking for a takedown.
Pehmytkudos is working for takedown but Stall is calmly controlling the position for now.
Pehmytkudos is trying to drag Stall to the mat but Stall just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Stall lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Pehmytkudos takes an elbow to the forehead.
Stall gets through Pehmytkudos's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Pehmytkudos is rocked!
Nice body punch from Stall - that landed with a thud.
Oh Pehmytkudos is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Stall has Pehmytkudos pressed against the cage. He pushes Pehmytkudos back and as he springs towards him off the cage, Stall throws a beautiful elbow that sends Pehmytkudos crashing to the floor! Stall piles on the pressure with more strikes! Pehmytkudos is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dan Stall!
Dan Stall is the new middleweight champion!
A relieved looking Dan Stall thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
