The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomez avoids a punch combination nicely.
Markovic throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Gomez with a jab.
Gomez comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
A head kick by Markovic misses
and Gomez counters with a low kick, right behind Markovic 's knee.
Stejpan Markovic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Markovic lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Markovic rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gomez moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Markovic throws a body kick that misses.
Gomez throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Markovic tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gomez was well out of range. Poor timing from Markovic.

Markovic moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Gomez lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Markovic throws a leg kick
and Gomez makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Markovic really felt that one!
Markovic looks winded!
Markovic tries to move into range but Gomez moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Markovic is rocked!
Markovic is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Gomez throws a pinpoint strike between Markovic's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Markovic crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Gomez scores a great knockout victory!
