Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marcelo Dobzinski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil Mcracken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dobzinski comes to the cage accompanied by Waters Of Nazareth - Justice. Mcracken has chosen Onra - I Wanna Go Back as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Marcelo Dobzinski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Phil Mcracken!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Seu Braga and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mcracken manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Dobzinski on his heels. He'll look to pass Dobzinski's guard now, I'm sure.

Dobzinski is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Mcracken presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Mcracken misses with a short punch on the inside.

Dobzinski has Mcracken pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Dobzinski pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Mcracken tumbling to the mat - Dobzinski dives into Mcracken's guard.

Dobzinski manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Dobzinski gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Mcracken regains guard.
Mcracken will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Dobzinski slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Mcracken.

I was talking to Dobzinski's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Dobzinski is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Mcracken can do to turn this around?

Dobzinski has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Mcracken clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Dobzinski manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Mcracken keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Mcracken throws a punch but it's blocked by Dobzinski.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Mcracken.
Dobzinski blocks an uppercut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Dobzinski has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Mcracken clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dobzinski, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

After winning the bout, Marcelo Dobzinski thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
In defeat, Phil Mcracken stepped up to the mic, saying 'You were good in there... my butt hurts... and that's hard to do to a greek!'.
