Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joseph Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DeAndre Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joseph Hughes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, DeAndre Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Paul Aken and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hughes has closed the distance and engaged Jackson in a clinch.

Hughes gets control of Jackson's arms and successfully pulls guard. Hughes will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Jackson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Jackson throws a big elbow that misses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hughes has his foot on Jackson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jackson works his way back into a safe position though.

Hughes manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jackson manages to get himself to full guard.

Hughes seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jackson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Jackson is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Hughes has got his arm under Jackson's chin working for the choke… has he got it? It looks pretty tight! Oh! Jackson has spun round into Hughes's guard beautifully! Well done that man!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Joseph Hughes dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Hughes shoots in but Jackson avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Jackson manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Hughes on his heels. He'll look to pass Hughes's guard now, I'm sure.

Hughes has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jackson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Jackson has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Hughes to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Jackson is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Hughes pulls down on the head and he's put Jackson to sleep! This one is all over!

Joseph Hughes very nearly forgot to thank Sun-Tzu amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
