Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Graveyard Ghost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and The Beast (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Ghost might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Howlin Wolf- Smokestack Lightening. The Beast will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, The Beast! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beast misses with a leg kick and Ghost counters with a shoot takedown. Beast fights it but they end up in guard. Ghost might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Beast working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Ghost. Beast working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ghost doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ghost manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Beast keeping moving, preventing Ghost from controlling successfully. Beast has Ghost pulled in close to control his posture. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Beast is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. We've been hearing good reports from Ghost's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Instead though, Beast has advanced to mount. Uh oh. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ghost throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Beast pulls Ghost in close to his closed guard and prevents Ghost from doing any damage or advancing position. The Beast has got the better of the ground game so far.

Ghost throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Beast works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Beast is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Beast has hold of Ghost's hands but Ghost slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Beast avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Ghost. Ghost prevents Beast from improving his position. Ghost trying to control the action but Beast is working from the bottom. Beast taking some punishment here, with Ghost in his half guard.

Ghost lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Beast is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Ghost's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Ghost's back! Beast has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Ghost has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
