Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sergio Powell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Olivar Delgado! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Ben Zyskovitsi and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Powell shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Delgado defends it nicely. Delgado lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Powell darts in and clinches Delgado up against the cage. Powell being controlled against the cage. Delgado makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Powell tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Delgado smiles and moves away.

That's one minute gone in the round. Delgado wants to control from the top but Powell keeps moving. Delgado must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Powell wriggles free and stands up. Powell clinches with his opponent.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Delgado blocks the elbow strike.

Powell lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Powell wants to control from the top but Delgado keeps moving. Powell is fighting to break Delgado's control of his arms but Delgado is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Delgado is breathing heavily. Delgado keeps the fight on the outside. Delgado uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. This has been an exciting period of action! Delgado throws a leg kick which misses Powell's front leg but catches the back leg as Powell tries to avoid it. Powell rushes Delgado and presses him up against the cage.

Delgado wants to pass the guard but Powell is defending well. Delgado is keen to just control but Powell is a slippery customer. Delgado throwing shots but Powell is blocking nicely. Delgado seems to be working for a kimura but Powell defends the submission attempt. Delgado stalling.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Powell is trying to stand.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Powell moves in looking to clinch but Delgado pushes him off. Delgado closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Powell's guard. Powell has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Delgado has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. Powell pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Powell looking to slow down the pace here. Delgado is looking to control Powell's arms but Powell gets an underhook and turns him. Now Delgado has his back to the cage. Delgado takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Delgado pulls guard successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Delgado has momentary wrist control but Powell slips an elbow through the middle. Powell working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Powell looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Delgado is trying to keep Powell in close.
Powell not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Delgado kicks Powell off and gets to his feet. Delgado drives through with a takedown into Powell's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Powell manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Powell's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Delgado takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Delgado is looking to break free of the clinch but Powell has double underhooks. Delgado has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Powell with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Powell jumps guard and drags Delgado to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Sergio Powell overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Powell manages to escape and get back to his feet.
A head kick misses from Delgado. Powell wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Delgado closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Powell quickly recovers to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Powell keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Powell is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Delgado's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Delgado's back! So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

And that's the end of the fight! Sergio Powell showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Powell, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
