Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Amber Ale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gordon Patterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gordon Patterson has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Amber Ale! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gordon Patterson! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Patterson dives in and grabs Ale's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ale pushes down on Patterson's head and hops out. Ale shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Patterson sprawls well. Patterson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ale gets slowly back to his feet. Patterson with the counter takedown but Ale avoids it easily. Ale pushes Patterson up against the cage in a clinch. Patterson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Ale smiles and moves away.
Ale has a takedown stuffed. Ale misses with a takedown attempt - Patterson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Amber Ale. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ale shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Patterson as he jumps to the side. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ale gets a takedown into half guard. Patterson looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. We've been hearing that Ale has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ale is thwarting Patterson's attempts to control the position. Ale missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Patterson is looking to control Ale's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Patterson avoid being mounted? Ale is stalling here. Patterson is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Ale seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Patterson has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Patterson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Ale prevents Patterson from improving position. Patterson looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Ale is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ale is trying to control Patterson's posture but Patterson avoids it. Ale gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ale trying to control but Patterson postures up.
Patterson is looking for a kimura here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Ale tries to reverse the position but Patterson maintains control. Ale is squirming around, avoiding Patterson's attempts to control the action. Ale working to try and regain half guard.
Ale wants to control but Patterson is having none of it. Patterson moves to back control. Patterson controlling well, preventing Ale from escaping the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Patterson lands a shot to the body. Ale tries to escape but Patterson has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Ale is working hard here to advance position. Patterson controlling the position well here. Ale rolled but Patterson kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Patterson is working the back position looking for the choke. Oh, he's slid into an armbar! Beautiful transition and Ale taps out! Fantastic Jiu Jitsu from Patterson.
