Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ulut Sandman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Pettis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ulut Sandman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Antonio Pettis! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Sandra Marshall and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pettis keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Pettis is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Pettis fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sandman, pushing him back against the cage. Sandman has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Pettis regains guard immediately. Sandman working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Pettis's head. Sandman lands a couple of elbows. Pettis avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Sandman got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pettis has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sandman has managed to get both his arms back between Pettis's legs - danger averted. Sandman with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Pettis throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Sandman stands up over Pettis, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Sandman landing some decent shots from guard. Sandman distracts Pettis with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Pettis pushes Sandman off and scrambles back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sandman avoids the head kick by Pettis.
Sandman throwing a counter right hand but Pettis manages to avoid it. Sandman shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Pettis manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Sandman postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Pettis has momentary wrist control but Sandman slips an elbow through the middle. Sandman landing with the ground and pound. Pettis looking for a guillotine here but Sandman defends easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Sandman cracks Pettis with a solid left hand. Pettis escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sandman gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Sandman landing with the ground and pound. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sandman postures up and lands a big shot to Pettis's brow. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Sandman's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Sandman content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Sandman content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Sandman working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Pettis's head. Pettis throws his legs up looking for a submission but Sandman uses it to pass to side control.
Sandman looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Sandman is working Pettis over with some ground and pound from side control. Sandman works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sandman working the head with strikes.
Pettis is rocked! A big shot lands for Sandman! That's hurt Pettis! Will he recover? Sandman fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ulut Sandman!
