Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mike Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodney Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mike Hunt could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Rodney Jackson's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mike Hunt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rodney Jackson! The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Sandra Marshall and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hunt blocks a low kick nicely. Hunt throws a right and a left that Jackson avoids nicely. Hunt changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jackson tries to avoid it but Hunt manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jackson to the ground. Jackson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Jackson bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Hunt's head backwards.
It looks like Mike Hunt has been cut. Jackson scores with a nice body kick.
Hunt instigates a clinch. Jackson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hunt takes a body punch but keeps moving. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jackson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Hunt looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Jackson lands a big uppercut and Hunt crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Hunt looks OK. Jackson waves Hunt back to his feet!
Hunt is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hunt fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Oh Hunt is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Hunt changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jackson tries to avoid it but Hunt manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jackson to the ground. Jackson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Hunt is breathing heavily. Hunt on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Horrible takedown attempt by Hunt or perhaps it was just good defense by Jackson, which made it look bad. Hunt seems to have got his legs back now. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Hunt. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jackson finds Hunt's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Hunt flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Jackson lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Hunt will be OK.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Rodney Jackson! Rodney Jackson seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
