Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kazuo Mizaki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ivan Spinolio! The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Santiago Holmes and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Spinolio connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
It looks like Kazuo Mizaki has been cut. Spinolio throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Mizaki sees it coming and avoids it easily. A little feinted left hand from Mizaki on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Spinolio throws a poor cross that misses
letting Mizaki counter with a right hand. Spinolio is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Mizaki. An attempted straight right counter from Mizaki misses the target. Mizaki throws a hook but Spinolio avoids it easily. Ivan Spinolio seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Spinolio scores with a sloppy right hand. Mizaki should have avoided that one. Mizaki has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Hut - $50 in the buildup to the fight. Spinolio scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Mizaki throws a series of punches but Spinolio avoids them all with ease. Mizaki swings for the body but Spinolio moves out of range.
Spinolio throws a body shot but no joy. Spinolio swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Mizaki missing with a left hand there. Spinolio was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. A little jabbing left from Spinolio on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Mizaki avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Spinolio loads up on a big right hand but Mizaki slips the punch. Spinolio takes one to the chin there. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Spinolio throws out a token jab with nothing on it. A counter left hand to the body from Mizaki misses its target.
That's one minute gone in the round. Spinolio misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Mizaki connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Spinolio misses with an uppercut
and Mizaki counters with a crisp right hand that drops Spinolio! Mizaki lets Spinolio back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Spinolio is rocked! Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Mizaki engages and cracks Spinolio with a massive lead left hook - Spinolio tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Mizaki is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Kazuo Mizaki!
