Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Oliver Webbs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eli Armis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Armis's choice of entrance music: Mortal Kombat Theme. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Oliver Webbs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 13 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Eli Armis!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Armis tries for a takedown but Webbs circles away easily
and Webbs counters with a thumping low kick.
Eli Armis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A head kick misses from Webbs.
Armis avoids the head kick by Webbs.

Armis shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Webbs manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Armis trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Armis trying to control the position from guard on top but Webbs is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Armis is stalling in the full guard.
Webbs is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Morbid Conditioning, Trans, Esc School $1000 that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Armis postures up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Armis wants to pass the guard but Webbs is keeping the position.
Webbs trying to control the position.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Armis trying to control but Webbs is working from the bottom.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Armis goes for a double leg but Webbs avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Webbs continues to drive forward.
Armis avoids the head kick by Webbs.
Armis changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Armis shoots and misses
and Webbs counters with a head kick. That will keep Armis thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Oliver Webbs has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eli Armis.

Webbs ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Armis moves away.
Webbs stuffs the takedown attempt from Armis. Armis gets slowly back to his feet.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Armis is defended easily by Webbs.
Webbs misses with a head kick.
Oliver Webbs is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Webbs lands with a kick to the temple. Armis shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Webbs throws a leg kick that misses.
Armis with the counter takedown but Webbs avoids it easily.
Armis dives in for a single leg takedown but Webbs sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Armis on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Armis changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Webbs tries to avoid it but Armis manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Webbs to the ground. Webbs escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Armis closes the distance and clinches up with Webbs, looking for a takedown. Armis pushes Webbs against the cage but Webbs circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Armis darts in looking for a takedown but Webbs gets double underhooks and turns Armis into the cage.
Webbs half committed to a counter leg kick.
Armis fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Webbs avoids it really well and circles away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Webbs misses with a head kick.

Armis drives through with a takedown into Webbs's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Armis trying to control the position from guard on top but Webbs is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Armis wants to pass the guard but Webbs is keeping the position.
Webbs has control of Armis's left arm, preventing Armis from doing any damage.
Armis trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Webbs wants to sweep here but Armis controlling him for the moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Armis passes into half guard.

Webbs is defending against the submission attempts here by Armis.
Armis wants to pass the guard but Webbs is defending well.
Armis is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Webbs reverses the position - he's now on top in Armis's guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Armis is trying to keep Webbs in close.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Oliver Webbs dominated that round.
That's time! Webbs's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Webbs feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Armis's calf.
Armis will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Webbs buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Armis throws a predictable looking body shot
and Webbs counters with a one-two to the body.


Armis is rocked!
Armis fails with the takedown
and Webbs makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Armis is still on wobbly legs! Can Webbs finish him?
Armis wants to stay close but Webbs steps back to make room for something. Armis seems frozen to the spot and bam! huge swing of the leg from Webbs and Armis drops like he has been shot! A huge head kick and it's all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Oliver Webbs!
An out of breath Oliver Webbs thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
