Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Portier comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Mutombo connects with the punch.
Mutombo throws a hook to the side of Portier's head but Portier sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Portier throws a leg kick that misses.
Mutombo looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Mutombo wants to clinch up but Portier keeps it at a distance.
Mutombo throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Portier lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Portier misses with a wild body shot.
Portier takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Mutombo misses with a hook from the clinch.
Mutombo is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Portier is defending well for now.

Mutombo tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Portier manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

and Portier counters with a nice body shot.
Mutombo moves forwards but Portier connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Mutombo cracks a nice hook into Portier's ribs.
Mutombo uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Portier.
Mutombo tries to close the distance and clinch but Portier swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Portier with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Mutombo to score with a decent uppercut.
Portier lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mutombo circles away quickly and effectively.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Portier feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Mutombo's calf.

Mutombo looks to throw the jab but Portier is out of range.
Portier swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

Mutombo lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Mutombo takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Portier connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Mutombo's hands.
The fight stays on the outside here - Mutombo looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Portier drops Mutombo with a beautiful combination! Mutombo stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Portier is looking for the KO!
Mutombo is rocked!
Portier Throws a clean left jab. Portier Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Mutombo's chin! Mutombo crumbles to the ground and Portier follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Portier!
