Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Wilbur Peterson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Nebel Ank!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Paul Tew and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ank rushes Peterson and presses him up against the cage.
Peterson wants a takedown but no success here.

Peterson manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Peterson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Peterson has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Ank is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Ank breaks the clinch.
Ank throws a head kick that misses.

Peterson shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Peterson drops an elbow to the side of Ank's head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ank trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Ank wants to hold on but Peterson pushes him away.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Peterson working for a guillotine from mount but Ank is in no mood to give up.
Ank takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Peterson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Ank tries to reverse the position but Peterson maintains control.
Ank gets back to half guard.
Ground and pound from Peterson.
Peterson working over Ank with some ground and pound. Ank looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Peterson not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Peterson stops Ank from getting back to his feet.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Ank preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Ank blocking the ground and pound attempt from Peterson.
Ank pushes Peterson off but Peterson dives into side control.
Ank regains half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Peterson sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Ank defending well though.
Ank wants to control but Peterson is keeping busy.
Peterson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Peterson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ank with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Ank wants to get back to full guard.
Peterson throwing shots but Ank is blocking nicely.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Ank forces Peterson back against the cage and clinches.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Peterson will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Ank up against the cage.
The referee is keeping an eye on Peterson - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Ank is trying to stall.

Peterson pulls guard successfully.
Peterson has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Ank must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Ank stands up from Peterson's guard - Ank perhaps looking for a knockout.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Wilbur Peterson dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Ank fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Ank misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ank fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Peterson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Ank tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Peterson is in Ank's guard.
Peterson is standing up over Ank. Ank looks to escape but Peterson dives into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.


Peterson is trying to get an arm triangle but Ank is defending well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Peterson lands an elbow.
Ank avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Peterson.
Ank is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Peterson is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Ank is trying to escape and Peterson transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Ank is forced to tap! Nice work there by Peterson! Very nice indeed!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Wilbur Peterson!
