Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Billy Beast! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kim Jong Ping Pong! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Chris Edwards and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beast throws a solid leg kick but Ping Pong takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Beast. Ping Pong loads up on a big right hand but Beast slips the punch. Ping Pong throws a shot to the body.
A solid leg kick lands there for Ping Pong.
A jab from Beast does it's job there. Beast misses with a hook. Good standup being displayed there by Beast as he connects with a hook. Ping Pong misses with a low kick.
It looked like Beast wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Beast throws an overhand right that lands on Ping Pong's shoulder, as Ping Pong tries to avoid the shot. Ping Pong tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Beast was well out of range. Poor timing from Ping Pong. A big right from Beast misses. Ping Pong follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ping Pong slips a straight right by Beast. Billy Beast seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ping Pong lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Beast circles away quickly and effectively. Beast has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Ping Pong. Ping Pong lands a nice shot that snaps Beast's head back.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ping Pong throws a lazy right hand but Beast sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Beast checks a leg kick. A slapping leg kick lands for Beast.
Beast checks a leg kick nicely. Beast misses the jab. A nice inside leg kick there by Beast. That's going to slow Ping Pong down. Ping Pong lands with a hook. Beast tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Ping Pong lands a leg kick that knocks Beast off balance momentarily. Ping Pong moves out of range as Beast strikes. Beast takes a swing at Ping Pong's ribcage but misses. Beast tries to land a front kick but Ping Pong steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Ping Pong counters with a body kick. Beast throws a combination. Ping Pong tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
It looks like Kim Jong Ping Pong has been cut. Ping Pong tries to move into range but Beast moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. A slapping leg kick lands for Beast.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Beast takes a shot right to the bread basket. Beast lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Beast throws a leg kick and Beast takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Ping Pong will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Beast lands with a cross. Beast moves away from the strike by Ping Pong. Beast appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Ping Pong shoots in and bounces Beast off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Ping Pong is looking to work some ground and pound but Beast has wrist control. Ping Pong has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Beast is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Ping Pong pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Beast is keeping the position for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ping Pong with a flurry of punches that miss. Beast is pulling down on Ping Pong's head to control his posture. Ping Pong not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Let's hope that Ping Pong has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Beast uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Ping Pong. Beast uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Ping Pong walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Beast checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. We've been told by Beast's head coaches at GWad's Playpen that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Ping Pong keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Beast fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Beast lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Beast misses with a body kick. Beast misses with a straight right. Beast scores with a leg kick.
Beast takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Billy Beast is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Beast throws a hook but Ping Pong blocks it. Ping Pong lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
A punch lands to the side of Ping Pong 's head but he takes it in his stride. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ping Pong checks the leg kick. Beast scores with a shot to the body.
Good leg kick by Beast there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Some bone on bone action there as Beast checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Ping Pong misses with a body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Billy Beast will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Kim Jong Ping Pong's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Ping Pong throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Ping Pong has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Beast finds it's way round the side to connect with Ping Pong's head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ping Pong is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Beast. Beast takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Beast misses with an uppercut. Beast lands with an uppercut that bounces Ping Pong off the cage and back into range. Beast defending well as Ping Pong loads up on a big left hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ping Pong lets loose with a powerful body kick. Beast will feel that in the morning. Beast checks a leg kick. It looked like Beast was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Ping Pong throws a chopping leg kick but Beast manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Beast tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Ping Pong lands a lovely overhand right. Beast takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. A big left from Ping Pong misses. Beast throws a low kick, looking for Ping Pong's leg but Ping Pong calmly moves out of range. Ping Pong drops his hands momentarily and Beast takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Beast.

That's two minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Ping Pong takes a swing at Beast's ribcage but misses. Beast swings away with a leg kick that misses. Ping Pong scores with a nice head shot. Beast tried to score with a low kick but Ping Pong checks it. Beast slips a jab from Ping Pong. Ping Pong ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Beast on the wrong end of a nice hook. Beast is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Ping Pong. Beast swings for the body but Ping Pong moves out of range.
Ping Pong appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick. Ping Pong throws a leg kick letting Beast counter with a right hand. Ping Pong throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Beast connects with the punch. Beast works the jab nicely. A low kick from Ping Pong is predictable there and Beast counters with a nice leg kick.

Ping Pong stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Ping Pong takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Beast gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Ping Pong blocks a jab. Beast fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Ping Pong has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Billy Beast will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Kim Jong Ping Pong's cut. That's time! Beast's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Beast's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Ping Pong connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Beast scrambles back to his feet. Kim Jong Ping Pong has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ping Pong takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ping Pong lands a nice leg kick that just misses Beast's sensitive parts. Ping Pong stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Beast tries to bum rush Ping Pong with a series of wild strikes but Ping Pong uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Ping Pong throws a lazy uppercut

and Beast counters with a lovely straight right hand! Beast gets caught flat footed, as Ping Pong shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Ping Pong takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Ping Pong looking to sit in guard and control but Beast gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Ping Pong looking to control.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Beast stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ping Pong swivels though and keeps the full guard. Ping Pong throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Beast escapes and throws Ping Pong's legs to the side, diving into side control! Ping Pong is looking for a sweep.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Beast controlling the position from side mount. You can see the frustration on Ping Pong's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Beast avoids the strikes from the bottom by Ping Pong. Ping Pong tries to bench press Beast off him but Beast keeps the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Billy Beast showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Beast, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
