Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Benny Lawlor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew West (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lawlor kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is I Have A Dream. West is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Roy Jones - Can't be touched. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
West shoots for a takedown but Lawlor saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
West moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Lawlor's corner calls for a 1-2. Lawlor obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
West takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Lawlor slips a jab from West.
Lawlor has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
West is looking to score with low kicks.
Lawlor just misses with a punch to the body.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that West has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

West pivots, looking for a leg kick but Lawlor is out of range and West settles back down.

West shoots in but Lawlor avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Lawlor is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
