Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eugene Crabfish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Liddell might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Stemm - "Face the Pain". We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chuck Liddell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eugene Crabfish!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Liddell takes the fight into the clinch.
Crabfish drops down looking for an ankle pick but Liddell pulls his leg out and moves away.
Crabfish shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Liddell as he jumps to the side.
Crabfish darts in trying to clinch

and Liddell counters by clinching up.
Crabfish blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Liddell lands an uppercut.

Liddell lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Liddell stands up out of the half guard.
Crabfish misses with a takedown

and Liddell counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Chuck Liddell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eugene Crabfish.

and Liddell holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Liddell has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Crabfish regains guard immediately.

Liddell gets to his feet - Crabfish follows without any prompting.
Chuck Liddell is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Liddell manages to break the clinch.
Crabfish tries to clinch

and Liddell counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Liddell.
Crabfish tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Liddell just stands there and leans against the cage.

Liddell turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Liddell decides to stand back up. Liddell steps back and let's Crabfish get back to his feet.
Liddell is breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Liddell throws a head kick but Crabfish moves out of range.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Crabfish checks a leg kick.

Liddell moves into range and clinches up with Crabfish.

Liddell breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Crabfish throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Liddell stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Crabfish gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Liddell counters by moving into the clinch.

Crabfish fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Crabfish tries for a takedown but Liddell manages to get underhooks.

Liddell escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Crabfish closes the distance but Liddell moves to the side
and Liddell counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Liddell's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Liddell duly obliges.
Crabfish tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Liddell holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Liddell turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Liddell wants to stand but Crabfish has his arm trapped.
Crabfish is trying to get back to half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chuck Liddell dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Liddell gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Crabfish regains guard.

Crabfish is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Crabfish tries to get to full guard but Liddell has control of the leg.

Liddell has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Crabfish is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Crabfish tries to pull guard but Liddell holds him up against the cage and eventually Crabfish drops back down to his feet.

Liddell has Crabfish pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Liddell pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Crabfish tumbling to the mat - Liddell dives into Crabfish's guard.

Liddell gets to his feet. Crabfish looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Liddell has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
Crabfish is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Crabfish is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Crabfish looking to hit a scissor sweep but Liddell is one step ahead there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Liddell has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Crabfish clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Crabfish just trying to survive but Liddell is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Crabfish manages to reverse the position and now he's in Liddell's guard. Nice work there by Crabfish.

Eugene Crabfish has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Chuck Liddell is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Crabfish chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Liddell can pounce on him.

And that's the end of the fight!

Well Liddell has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
