Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dick Tanner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trevor Innes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tanner has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Dick Tanner has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dick Tanner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Trevor Innes!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, George Francis and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Innes decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Innes slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Innes really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tanner. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Innes stalks Tanner and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Tanner's face. Tanner staggers backwards, shaken.

Innes moves into range and clinches up with Tanner.
Innes landing knees to the body.

Innes works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Tanner is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Tanner escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Innes gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Tanner has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Tanner is looking for a triangle but Innes pushes his legs off easily.

Innes might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Tanner kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Innes advances to half guard.
Tanner wants to improve his position but Innes is controlling well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Innes changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Tanner looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Innes closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

I really don't envy Tanner right now.

You can see the frustration on Tanner's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Innes cracks Tanner with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Tanner is on top in guard.

Well Innes has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
