The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown attempt by Lee or perhaps it was just good defense by Stotch, which made it look bad. And Stotch responds with a good body kick, but Lee manages to step out the way in time. Lee drives through and clinches with Stotch against the cage.
Lee blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Stotch using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.

Stotch throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Lee blocks it with crossed arms. Lee wants to take the fight to the mat but Stotch manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kang Lee. That's going to take a lot out of him. Stotch tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Lee with a poor takedown and Stotch counters with a thumping low kick. Lee looks for a takedown but Stotch sprawls well. Lee doesn't succeed with the takedown and Stotch counters with a lovely straight right hand! Stotch is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Lee is defending well for now. Lee has a takedown stuffed. Stotch looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it. Stotch defending well as Lee loads up on a big left hand. Lee moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromStotch. Kang Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lee throws a combination that misses and Stotch counters with a head kick. That will keep Lee thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Lee closes this distance looking for a takedown but Stotch circles away. A countering left hand to the body from Stotch misses. Lee is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight. Lee tries for a takedown but Stotch sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Lee has his takedown stuffed and Stotch counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Lee shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Stotch is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Lee with a body shot.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lee misses with a takedown and Stotch counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Lee misses with a takedown attempt - Stotch sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Lee with a lazy takedown attempt and Stotch counters with a left to the body. Lee darts in looking for a takedown but Stotch gets double underhooks and turns Lee into the cage. Stotch was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. Lee clinches up with Stotch and pushes him back against the cage. Stotch scores with a knee to the head.
Stotch lands a good knee to the midsection. Lee won't want to take too many of those. Stotch has Lee pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Lee is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Stotch - that's hurt Lee badly! Oh, another knee lands and Lee is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Lee doesn't seem to be complaining.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Butters Stotch!
