Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Art Crocker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jared Twitty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jared Twitty has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Art Crocker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jared Twitty!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Dean Styles and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Twitty gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Crocker controlling from the top position.
Twitty has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Crocker slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Crocker has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Twitty controls Crocker momentarily but Crocker frees himself.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Crocker stands and throws Twitty's legs to the side, diving into side control.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Twitty can't do much from the bottom here.
Twitty is being controlled here.
Crocker seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Twitty for as long as he can get away with.
Twitty is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Crocker asserts his dominance and retains side control.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Crocker will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Crocker swats away the attempt to clinch by Twitty.
Crocker seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Twitty shoots for a takedown but Crocker saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Twitty wants to clinch up but Crocker keeps it at a distance.
Crocker tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Twitty manages to circle out of the way.

Crocker gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Twitty regains guard.
Twitty wants to stand up but Crocker is controlling him.
Crocker trying to control but Twitty is working from the bottom.
Crocker is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Twitty seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Twitty is trying to keep Crocker in close.
Crocker stays in close to Twitty's body and controls the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Crocker shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Twitty wants to control but Crocker is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Crocker perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
A head kick misses from Twitty.
Twitty stuffs the takedown.

Crocker bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Twitty tries to improve position but can't.
Crocker content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Twitty is trying to improve his position.
Crocker is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Twitty can do to turn this around?
Art Crocker overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Crocker in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Twitty is trying to control Crocker's posture but Crocker avoids it.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Twitty tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Crocker paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Twitty moves in looking to clinch but Crocker pushes him off.
Twitty tries to clinch there but Crocker circles away.
Twitty stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Twitty wants it to stay on the feet.
Crocker will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Art Crocker. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Twitty.

Crocker fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Twitty, pushing him back against the cage.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!



Crocker shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Crocker was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Crocker is looking to take a break and control but Twitty is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
You can see the frustration on Twitty's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Crocker knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Twitty on the ground.

Twitty tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Crocker wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Twitty misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

and Crocker holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Crocker gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Twitty is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Crocker makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Crocker sitting in guard here, content to control.
Twitty is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Crocker is controlling him.

Crocker slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Art Crocker is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Twitty manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Crocker manages to get himself to full guard.

Crocker looking to hit a scissor sweep but Twitty is one step ahead there.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Twitty throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Crocker works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Twitty avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Crocker keeping moving, preventing Twitty from controlling successfully.

Crocker pulls Twitty in close to prevent any damage.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Jared Twitty has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Twitty throws a sloppy head kick
and Crocker counters with an outside leg kick.

And that's the end of the fight!
Art Crocker showed his dominance in that final round.
