Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Adrian Landeka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Ripper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Landeka's entrance music is Cavoglave. A fine choice. Ripper has chosen Highway to Hell as his entrance music. Adrian Landeka has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Adrian Landeka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ricky Ripper!
The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Chris Dean and Topper Green.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Landeka misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ripper looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Ripper takes a kick to the side of the head.
Landeka shoots in looking for a takedown but Ripper manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Landeka's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Landeka seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Landeka throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Landeka shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
letting Ripper counter with a right hand.

Ripper tries to keep at a distance but Landeka has taken the fight into the clinch.
Ripper misses with some punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Landeka blocking some punches.

Landeka pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Landeka fails with the takedown.

Landeka escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Ripper gets tackled into the cage by Landeka. Landeka maintains the clinch.

and Ripper counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Landeka closes the distance and clinches.
Ripper swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Ripper wants to break free but Landeka has control.
Ripper trying to control the position but instead, Landeka has worked for underhooks and has pushed Ripper into the cage.

Landeka breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ripper fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Landeka on the side of the head.

Landeka moves into the clinch.

Landeka manages to break the clinch.
Landeka looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ripper is fending him off so far but Landeka persists. Nope, Ripper circles away and we're back to standing.
Landeka throws a head kick that misses.
Ripper leaves Landeka with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Ripper throws out a counter right but Landeka avoids it with no problem.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Landeka tries to clinch up
and Ripper counters with a nice uppercut.


It looks like Adrian Landeka has been cut.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Landeka has taken the fight to the clinch.
Ripper wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Ripper avoids a wild elbow strike from Landeka.
Ripper has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Landeka manages to break the clinch.
Ripper leaves Landeka with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Ripper is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Landeka fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Landeka moves into the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Landeka's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Landeka shoots for a double leg takedown but Ripper sprawls well. He's pushed Landeka's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
It seemed like Ripper was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Landeka throws a head kick that misses.
Ripper throws out a counter right but Landeka avoids it with no problem.
Landeka closes the distance looking to clinch
and Ripper cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Landeka fails with an attempt to clinch.
Ripper looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Landeka tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Landeka shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ripper defends it nicely.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Ripper! But no joy.
Ripper dips to his left and cracks Landeka with an uppercut!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Adrian Landeka will probably get the nod.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

A punch lands to the side of Landeka 's head but he takes it in his stride.


Landeka is rocked!
Ripper circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Landeka tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Ripper wins by KO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ricky Ripper!
An out of breath Ricky Ripper thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
