Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Deair Shaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and go Yes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Deair Shaw has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Deair Shaw seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Deair Shaw! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, go Yes! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Edson Gomes and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shaw blocks a head kick by Yes.
Shaw seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Yes looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Shaw shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Yes as he jumps to the side. Shaw doesn't manage to clinch there - Yes circles away.
Shaw rushes Yes and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Shaw jumps guard and drags Yes to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Shaw is looking for a triangle but Yes pushes his legs off easily.
Yes looking to pass the guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shaw escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Yes gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Shaw has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Yes can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Shaw is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yes decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Shaw, up you get! Yes tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Shaw swivels and escapes. Shaw shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Yes sprawls well. Yes wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Shaw gets slowly back to his feet. Yes closes the distance and pushes Shaw back into the cage. Yes breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yes scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Shaw kicks Yes off and gets back to his feet. Shaw throws a chopping leg kick but Yes manages to avoid taking any serious damage. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Yes shoots in for a takedown but Shaw shows good takedown defense. Shaw throws a counter high kick but Yes was just alert enough to avoid it. Yes fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Shaw, pushing him back against the cage. Shaw is trying to break the clinch but Yes has him pressed against the cage. Yes tries to pull guard but Shaw forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Deair Shaw has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of go Yes. Yes content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Yes has hold of one of Shaw's legs. Shaw is fighting the takedown attempt but Yes gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Yes is looking to stand up but Shaw won't let him. Yes controls from within his opponent's guard. Yes works a leg free and moves into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yes trying to control from half guard but Shaw is working away. Yes missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Yes is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Yes trying to control but he's not successful this time. Yes landing punches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shaw in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Shaw is in a horrible position here. Yes smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Yes is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Shaw to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Shaw shrugs it off. Shaw in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Yes with good strikes from the mount here! Yes lands a big shot there that rocks Shaw but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Yes with the ground and pound from mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Yes gets a takedown into half guard. Shaw wants to control but Yes is keeping busy and won't allow it. Shaw has one foot on Yes's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Shaw looks for a takedown but Yes sprawls well. Yes avoids the head kick by Shaw.
Yes throws a counter combo. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shaw throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Yes's waist but Yes gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Shaw off to one side. Yes shoots in but no luck this time. Yes explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Yes shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Shaw is trying to defend but Yes finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yes is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Yes takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Shaw keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Yes in particular looking to stall. go Yes has got the better of the ground game so far. Yes wants to pass the guard but Shaw is defending well. Yes trying to control the action but Shaw is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Yes takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Shaw has one foot on Yes's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Yes avoids a punch combination nicely.
Shaw takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Yes misses with a takedown attempt - Shaw sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. As Yes looks to move away, Shaw throws a big counter combo bu Yes just gets out of the way.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yes lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Shaw shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Yes as he jumps to the side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Deair Shaw. That's going to take a lot out of him. Yes drives through with a takedown into guard. Yes is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Yes controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Yes with a nice head shot there. Yes is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Yes got a little sloppy there for a moment and Shaw has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Yes has managed to get both his arms back between Shaw's legs - danger averted. Yes has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Yes's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Yes is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Yes wants to control from the top but Shaw keeps moving. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Yes stands up from Shaw's guard - Yes perhaps looking for a knockout. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
go Yes showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Shaw fails with an attempt to clinch.
Shaw displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Yes. No luck for Yes with that takedown attempt. Yes drives through with a takedown into Shaw's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Yes drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Yes jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shaw controls Yes momentarily but Yes frees himself. Yes stands and steps away. Shaw gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shaw darts in looking for a takedown but Yes gets double underhooks and turns Shaw into the cage. Yes raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Shaw gets tackled into the cage by Yes. Yes maintains the clinch. Yes jumps guard but Shaw turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Deair Shaw has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of go Yes. Shaw has Yes pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Yes manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Yes is trying to pull guard but Shaw turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Yes tries to pull guard but Shaw won't allow it.
Shaw can't break the clinch.
Shaw has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Yes tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Yes keeps control of Shaw as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Yes escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yes shoots for a takedown but Shaw saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Shaw throws a sloppy head kick and Yes moves out of range easily. No luck for Yes with that takedown attempt. Shaw goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Yes is clearly looking to counter with head kicks. Yes with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Shaw takes a kick to the side of the head. Yes clinches up against the cage. Shaw tries to break free but Yes pushes him back against the cage. Yes is trying to pull guard but Shaw turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Yes prevents Shaw from breaking the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shaw gets control of Yes's arms and successfully pulls guard. Shaw will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Yes trying to control but Shaw is working from the bottom. Yes is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Yes passes Shaw's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Yes is looking to advance position but Shaw won't allow it. Shaw missing with punches from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Yes is trying to control the action in half guard but Shaw is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. go Yes seems to be getting the better of the standup. Yes with a poor takedown and Shaw counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Yes goes for a double leg but Shaw avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Shaw continues to drive forward. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Yes fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Deair Shaw has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! go Yes is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Shaw misses with a low kick. A little jabbing left from Yes on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to go Yes. Well Yes has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
