Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mel Huff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gerard Tyson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mel Huff!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gerard Tyson!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Gwen Towbar and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Huff shoots in for a takedown but Tyson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Huff misses with a straight left.
Tyson tries to close the distance and clinch but Huff swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Nice uppercut lands for Tyson. That snapped Huff's head back.
Tyson misses with a wild combination.
Tyson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
As Tyson tries to get set, Huff tries to push him back and clinch up but Tyson manages to avoid the attempt.
Gerard Tyson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Huff gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Huff is controlling Tyson's posture.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tyson stalks Huff and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Huff's face. Huff staggers backwards, shaken.

Tyson tries to bum rush Huff with a series of wild strikes but Huff uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tyson takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Tyson should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Tyson takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Huff connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Tyson some visible discomfort.

Huff has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Tyson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Tyson throws a right and a left that both miss.
Huff changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tyson tries to avoid it but Huff manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tyson to the ground. Tyson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Huff looks up at the clock and then as Tyson takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Huff smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Tyson takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Tyson has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Huff clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Huff tries to score a power double leg takedown but Tyson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Huff somewhat.
