The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nurminen keeps the fight on the outside.
Ramirez tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Nurminen is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Nurminen is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Ramirez closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Nurminen quickly recovers to half guard.
Ramirez seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Nurminen does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Nurminen bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ramirez's guard.
