The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Aleksandr Martynov and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pepper rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ograni moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
A good leg kick by Pepper.
Ograni connects with a single shot there.
A left and a right from Ograni both land. Nice combination.
Pepper scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Pepper throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Ograni moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Pepper looking to pass the guard.
Ograni has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pepper can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ograni manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Pepper manages to get himself to full guard.

Ograni stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pepper swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Pepper has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Ograni has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Pepper tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Ograni changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Pepper fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Pepper needs to keep his hands up - Ograni had a free shot at his head there.
Ograni checks a leg kick.

Ograni closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ograni is trying to control the action in half guard but Pepper is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Ograni tries to pass to full mount but Pepper defends it.
Pepper is pressing down on Ograni's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Ograni wants to pass the guard but Pepper is keeping the position.
Ograni is looking to pass into half guard but Pepper pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Pepper is in guard.

Ograni throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Pepper escapes and throws Ograni's legs to the side, diving into side control!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Gugo Ograni will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Pepper shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Pepper showed some decent athleticism there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ograni makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Ograni.
Pepper postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ograni has his feet on Pepper's thighs here. He's pushed Pepper off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Pepper screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
