Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Micky Amsterdam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Ellison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Micky Amsterdam! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ricky Ellison! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Dean Styles and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Amsterdam lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Ellison backs up against the cage.
Ellison shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Amsterdam is trying to defend but Ellison finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Amsterdam is trying to control but can't.
Amsterdam is looking to improve his position.
Ellison looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Amsterdam with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Amsterdam is trying to stand up here but Ellison is controlling him well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ellison is pressing down on Amsterdam's thigh, looking to free his foot. Amsterdam is holding on for now. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Amsterdam is trying to maintain the position but Ellison is very close to passing his half guard. Ellison throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Amsterdam pushes Ellison off looking to stand but Ellison dives back in and keeps control.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Amsterdam looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Ellison seems to be looking for submissions.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Ellison connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Ellison shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Ellison really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Amsterdam. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Amsterdam wants to get back to full guard. Amsterdam has one foot on Ellison's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Ellison swats away the attempt to clinch by Amsterdam. Amsterdam misses with a two punch combination.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Amsterdam shoots in looking for a takedown. Ellison tries to sprawl out of it but Amsterdam keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ellison manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Ellison throws a counter combo. Ellison throws a head kick but Amsterdam moves out of range.
Ellison forces Amsterdam back against the cage and clinches. Ellison works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Amsterdam has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Ellison off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Amsterdam misses with a combination
and Ellison moves into the clinch. Ellison manages to break the clinch.
Amsterdam fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Micky Amsterdam. That's going to take a lot out of him. Amsterdam shoots in but Ellison avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Amsterdam throws a combination that misses and Ellison counters by clinching up. Ellison has clasped his hands together around Amsterdam's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Ellison looks winded! Amsterdam can't do much from the bottom here. Ellison controlling the position from side mount. Ellison working away. Amsterdam tries to improve position but can't. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Ricky Ellison will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Amsterdam misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Ellison throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Amsterdam scores with a one two! Ellison had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Ellison shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Ellison is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Amsterdam is trying to keep Ellison in close.
Amsterdam is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Amsterdam controls Ellison momentarily but Ellison frees himself.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ellison sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Amsterdam's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Amsterdam is trying to stand up here but Ellison is controlling him well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Amsterdam is looking to control Ellison's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Amsterdam avoid being mounted? Ellison throwing shots but Amsterdam is blocking nicely. Well, if Ellison is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Ellison lands a nice short elbow. Ricky Ellison has got the better of the ground game so far. Ellison blocks the strikes from Amsterdam.

Amsterdam tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Ellison defends well and Amsterdam ends up having to push Ellison into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Nice takedown defense from Ellison. No joy for Amsterdam on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Micky Amsterdam. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ellison moves into the clinch successfully.

Amsterdam is trying to pull guard but Ellison turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Ellison manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Ellison is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ellison is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Ellison is trying to pull guard but Amsterdam turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ellison is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Amsterdam gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Ellison prevents Amsterdam from breaking the clinch. Amsterdam wants to break the clinch but can't.

Ricky Ellison showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Amsterdam's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Amsterdam duly obliges. Amsterdam misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ellison moves into the clinch. Ellison gets a trip takedown into half guard. Ellison is pressing down on Amsterdam's thigh, looking to free his foot. Amsterdam is holding on for now. Amsterdam tries to roll over but Ellison keeps him under control. Amsterdam tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Ellison is figuring out what he wants to do next. Ellison prevents Amsterdam from standing back up.
Ellison takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ellison wants to pass the guard but Amsterdam is defending well. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Amsterdam is trying to stand up here but Ellison is controlling him well.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Amsterdam is defended easily by Ellison. Ellison is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Amsterdam lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Amsterdam looks to clinch and Ellison counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ellison decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Ellison content to control rather than advance. Amsterdam actively working from the bottom here. Amsterdam blocking the ground and pound attempt from Ellison. Amsterdam is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Ellison content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Amsterdam feints a jab promting Ellison to slip. Amsterdam then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Ellison slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Amsterdam shoots in for a takedown but Ellison shows good takedown defense. A punch combination from Amsterdam misses. Amsterdam wants to clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ellison clinches. Amsterdam wants to get back to striking at distance but Ellison won't allow it.

Ricky Ellison is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Micky Amsterdam.
