Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Raul Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Jagger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jagger comes into a darkened arena with his song building. I'm Shipping Up To Boston - Dropkick Murphys kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The key to victory for Raul Sanchez has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Raul Sanchez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bob Jagger! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Damien Edna and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanchez wants to clinch. Sanchez tries to clinch up. Sanchez wants to clinch. Sanchez shoots for a double leg takedown but Jagger sprawls well. He's pushed Sanchez's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Sanchez tries to close the distance and clinch but Jagger swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Jagger keeps the fight on the outside. Jagger bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Jagger is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Sanchez knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Sanchez avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Jagger.

Jagger is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Sanchez is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sanchez is looking for a sweep. Sanchez struggling a bit here. Jagger eventually gives up the hold. Sanchez wants to control but Jagger is keeping busy and won't allow it. Jagger has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Jagger sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Sanchez defending well though. Jagger looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sanchez tries to kick Jagger off but Jagger keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Jagger seems to be working for a kimura but Sanchez defends the submission attempt. Jagger is looking for a kimura here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Jagger is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Sanchez doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Jagger. Jagger missing with the ground and pound from half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jagger scoring with strikes to the body and head. Jagger trying to mount his opponent but Sanchez defends it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bob Jagger dominated that round. That's time! Sanchez's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Sanchez throws a head kick that misses. Jagger swats away the attempt to clinch by Sanchez. Excellent takedown into side control there by Jagger. Jagger working away. Jagger working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Jagger looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Sanchez is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Jagger asserts his dominance and retains side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jagger goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Sanchez has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Jagger but great work by Sanchez. Sanchez trying to control the action but Jagger is working from the bottom. Jagger manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Jagger trying to control but Sanchez postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Sanchez seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jagger does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Jagger gets back to full guard.

Jagger is breathing heavily. Sanchez wants to control from the top but Jagger keeps moving. Jagger trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Jagger will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Sanchez trying to control but Jagger is working from the bottom. Sanchez tries to stand but Jagger is controlling from the bottom. Sanchez trying to control the position from guard on top but Jagger is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Sanchez with a poor takedown and Jagger counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Jagger is trying to work for a kimura but Sanchez is defending well.

Jagger throws a big right hand that misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bob Jagger showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

And that's the end of the fight! Bob Jagger comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Jagger has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
