0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Darren Meehan! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Anni Minnemäki and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Meehan slips a jab from Weeks. Meehan closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Weeks to the mat! Weeks manages to get full guard. Weeks not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Meehan content to stall in guard here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Meehan pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Weeks is keeping the position for now. Weeks not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Weeks has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Meehan has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. Weeks breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Meehan slips under a jab from Weeks.
That's one minute gone in the round. Meehan fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Weeks to the ground. Meehan is now in Weeks's guard. Weeks looking to control.
Weeks being controlled here, momentarily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Meehan wants to get up but he can't break Weeks's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Weeks seems keen to control Meehan's posture. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Weeks working for submissions but it's allowed Meehan to get to half guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Meehan is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Weeks's half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Meehan passes to full mount! Meehan looking to control and managing it successfully. Weeks wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Meehan.

Meehan sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Meehan controlling his opponent. Meehan working some short elbows here. He postures up to throw some more ground and pound but Weeks slips a leg through to get back to half guard. Nice work.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Meehan seems to be working for a kimura but Weeks defends the submission attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Darren Meehan dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Meehan uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Weeks. Weeks throws a shot from downtown. Meehan moves away and avoids it. Meehan fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Weeks, pushing him back against the cage. Meehan gets control of Weeks's arms and successfully pulls guard. Meehan will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Meehan working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Weeks. Meehan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Weeks is fighting to break Meehan's control of his arms but Meehan is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Weeks trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Weeks might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Weeks postures up in Meehan's guard and throws a big left but Meehan blocks it.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Meehan throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Weeks was covering up waiting for the punch and Meehan finishes the takedown easily into guard. Weeks is trying to keep Meehan in close.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Weeks wants to hit a switch here but Meehan passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Weeks there! Weeks is wriggling around trying to escape.
Weeks could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Weeks is working hard here to advance position. Meehan throws some wild stikes that Weeks manages to avoid easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Meehan controlling the position easily from mount. Weeks tries to hold on but Meehan postures up. Meehan moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Weeks has worked his arm free - good work by Weeks!
Meehan misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. A control attempt from Weeks but he's now mounted! Meehan looking to finish with strikes here!
Meehan controlling from mount. Meehan has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Meehan wants to control the pace but Weeks is squirming around nicely. Meehan is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Weeks has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Darren Meehan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Weeks regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Meehan seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Darren Meehan has got the better of the ground game so far. Weeks trying to keep a closed guard but Meehan is proving a slippery customer.

Weeks misses with a hook. Weeks gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Weeks pushes Meehan off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Darren Meehan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Meehan tries to land a sweep but no joy. Weeks throws an elbow that misses. Meehan uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Weeks's guard. Nice move by Meehan!
Freddie Weeks has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Darren Meehan is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Meehan is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
And that's the end of the fight! Darren Meehan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Meehan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
