Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lucio Melton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harry Potter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Harry Potter has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Lucio Melton's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Lucio Melton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Harry Potter!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Paul Tew and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Melton shoots in but no luck this time.
Melton fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Melton gets a clinch.

Potter gets control of Melton's arms and successfully pulls guard. Potter will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Potter working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Melton.
Potter is looking to stand up but Melton isn't so interested in that idea.
Melton in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Potter throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Melton prevents Potter from getting back to his feet.
Potter throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Potter wants to control but Melton passes easily into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Melton prevents Potter from standing back up.
Melton is nestled in close to Potter, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Potter is trying to control but can't.
Melton thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Potter's head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Melton is thwarting Potter's attempts to control the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Melton looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Potter is fending him off so far but Melton persists. Nope, Potter circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lucio Melton. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Potter has closed the distance and engaged Melton in a clinch.

Potter pulls guard effortlessly.
Potter looks winded!
Potter manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Melton manages to get himself to full guard.

Melton not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Potter tries to free his leg and advance position but Melton is retaining full guard.

Potter wants to control from the top but Melton keeps moving.
Melton is adopting a defensive guard.
Potter pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Melton is keeping the position for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Potter stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Melton swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Melton is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Potter defends well.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Potter shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Melton is looking to control Potter's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Melton avoid being mounted?
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Harry Potter dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Melton tries for a takedown but Potter sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Potter swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

Potter closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Potter decides to pull guard.
Melton stopping the sweep attempt from Potter.
Melton wants to stand and escape but instead Potter has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Potter looking to sit in guard and control but Melton gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Potter pushes a forearm under Melton's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Melton is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Harry Potter!
