Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dede Rustandi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Evgenii Mamchenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rustandi comes to the cage accompanied by Goyang Dumang. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Dede Rustandi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Evgenii Mamchenko!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Ben Watson and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rustandi wants to slow Mamchenko down by chopping away at his legs.
Rustandi defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Mamchenko.
Rustandi went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

and Rustandi counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Evgenii Mamchenko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rustandi's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Rustandi duly obliges.
Rustandi's jab looks to have found its range, popping Mamchenko under the eye.
Mamchenko shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
letting Rustandi counter with a right hand.

Mamchenko feints and as Rustandi raises his hands in defense, Mamchenko changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Rustandi will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Mamchenko thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Mamchenko changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rustandi tries to avoid it but Mamchenko manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rustandi to the ground. Rustandi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Mamchenko should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
