Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vain Celasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bryan Kennedy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Celasquez kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Kid Frost - La Raza. Kennedy has chosen Sledgehammer as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Vain Celasquez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bryan Kennedy! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Darius Henderson and Ben Watson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kennedy scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Celasquez swings widly with a right hand
and Kennedy connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Kennedy uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Celasquez. Kennedy misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Celasquez.
Kennedy dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Celasquez. That did some damage! Celasquez misses with a hook
and Kennedy counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Celasquez fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Kennedy misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Celasquez.
Celasquez gets a takedown into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Celasquez is controlling the pace.
Celasquez missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Celasquez throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Kennedy looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Kennedy is looking to improve his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kennedy is refusing to be controlled, as Celasquez sits in half guard. Kennedy is looking for a sweep. Celasquez is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Kennedy has hold of Celasquez's hands but Celasquez slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Kennedy tries to roll over but Celasquez keeps him under control. Celasquez not landing any meaningful shots this time. Kennedy is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Celasquez's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Celasquez's back! Celasquez covering up well under a series of strikes from Kennedy. Kennedy punches the canvas rather than the man. Kennedy misses with punches from the back. Celasquez has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Kennedy. Celasquez is trapped and Kennedy is scoring with shots to the head and body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kennedy throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage. Celasquez rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Celasquez has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Kennedy misses with a head shot. Celasquez uses the momentum to regain guard. Kennedy stands and steps away. Celasquez gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Celasquez is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kennedy. Kennedy throws a right and a left that both miss. Celasquez drives through with a takedown into Kennedy's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Celasquez throwing strikes but missing. Celasquez trying to control but Kennedy is working from the bottom. Celasquez controls from within his opponent's guard. Celasquez might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Celasquez slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Celasquez working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Celasquez looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Kennedy is avoiding damage well.
Kennedy is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Celasquez tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Kennedy can't do much from the bottom here. Celasquez working the head with strikes.
Kennedy is rocked! Celasquez lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Kennedy is still in real trouble! Can Celasquez finish him? Celasquez cracks Kennedy with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Celasquez immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Kennedy is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Celasquez!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vain Celasquez! A relieved looking Vain Celasquez thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
